TBLS Assistant Director Wins Award For Outstanding Paper

We are delighted to announce that Andrew Perkins has won the 2023 Award from the Journal Of Money Laundering Control for the most outstanding paper for his work Does holding offshore jurisdictions to higher AML standards really assist in preventing money laundering? Journal of Money Laundering Control, Vol. 25 No. 4, pp. 742-756.

Andrew’s paper contended that  when tackling financial crimes such as money laundering and terrorist financing, international regulators are seeking to hold offshore jurisdictions such as the Cayman Islands to higher standards and that this detracts from the pursuit of detecting and prosecuting money launderers.

TBLS Director Of Legal Studies Mitchell Davies congratulates Andrew on this award which demonstrates further evidence of strong academic research outputs by TBLS academic staff.
