Law School’s Deputy Director makes another contribution to the Law of Trusts

Scott Atkins, Deputy Director of the Truman Bodden Law School, has had an article published in the last week in the peer-reviewed Oxford University Press journal Trusts & Trustees analysing recent cases of trusts of the family home.

Scott said, ‘It’s great to be able to make a small contribution to the understanding of trusts’ law, particularly when English law and Cayman Islands’ law are so closely related. This article directly relates to my teaching at the Law School and I hope it might also be used to inform practitioners in this area in the Islands.’

Mitchell Davies, Director of the Truman Bodden Law School, said, ‘Scott and other colleagues continue to publish in leading law journals in their areas and, along with teaching Caymanian and international students, show just what a world-class academic faculty we have in the Cayman Islands. The Law School goes from strength to strength and I look forward to two new academics joining us over the next few months to bolster the expertise available here.’
