In addition to co-editing the Oxford Handbook of Caribbean Constitutions published by Oxford University Press in July 2020, Dr. O’Brien has also penned a chapter in another new book, titled Liberal Ideals and the Politics of Decolonisation (edited by H. Kumarasingham) that has recently been published by Routledge Press. Dr O’Brien’s chapter is about the endurance of the Crown and the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in the postcolonial constitutional orders of the Commonwealth Caribbean. The chapter was first published in a special issue of the Journal of Imperial and Commonwealth History, which is the pre-eminent journal in its field.
